Social networking...

Ever get the feeling that all this social networking is more social than networking? I just can't seem to keep up!

I haven't been on Twitter for days, I changed my email for my blogger account and unfortunately lost every single blog I was signed up for (sorry - will eventually find all 200+ of you and rejoin your sites!), haven't been on any forums... I've missed it all but, I have a life.

It might seem I'm not doing anything as I'm MIA but rest assured, I'm here and I'm keeping busy.

I think I may close my Facebook account - it's just one more thing that I don't necessarily have time for. I enjoy Twitter and I enjoy blogging but it's not the be all and end all if I don't get to it for a few days.

I've been busy sewing for my first craft stall in less than a month. I love vintage clothes especially from the 60's and 70's (no idea, why they're vintage... I was there!)

I made some ladies casual beach-y wear out of terry cloth (natch!).

I've been tagged...

What a wonderful way to start the day by getting a Blog Award! Thank you so much to Aik for giving me a "Lovely Blog Award". I sincerely appreciate the sentiment. ♥

In the coming few days, I will be tagging my faves as well.

The Divine Miss E...

When I find a good thing... I stick to it. Friends, my garden, my passion for vintage fabric... you get the drift.

One of my fave fabric stores Vintage Fabric Addict is where, time after time, I go back to as Elizabeth gets new stock daily and it never ceases to surprise me as to what she has uncovered.

As you know, I'm obsessed with vintage towelling (terry cloth) and love making the clothing from the 70's (I was there and I'm still not tired of it!). I wanted authentic zipper pulls that I could use for the 'mod' dresses that I'm making and lo and behold, if Elizabeth didn't have just the goods I wanted! The pic is what arrived for me today. I was so excited, I tore the envelope open in the car and little zipper pulls exploded throughout the car. :)

Have a look at her store - it's a wonder of colour, texture and delight... and she's having a sale!

New take on an old favourite...

I have lots of vintage pillow cases as I just love the patterns that they came in and wanted to do something Summery so...

From 8 pillowcases, came this...

and from that, came this...

It's by no means perfect... I only used the right side of the fabric where the seams matched (I was tired!) but, it was fun to make and suits me to a T.

And the winner is...

Congratulations to CopperLlama! You have won the October giveaway of the terry cloth sunsuit. Woo Hoo! I will be in contact with you for your mailing address.

Thank you to all that entered. Another giveaway in a few weeks.

Congratulations

I'm in a Treasury...

Thank you so much to the lovely Stephanie of Bayatinge on etsy, I was in another Treasury! Absolutely wonderful to know that what you are creating is appreciated by others. Stephanie makes the most divine jewellery from recycled glass and other objects... I am in love with her 'Sigh' glass and stone necklace which is also featured in the Treasury.

There's me... bottom right - Lime Green Barkcloth Tote.
